I'm a Mechanical and Software Engineer with seven years of experience in the consumer electronics and automation space. After graduating the University of Washington with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, I worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Hewlett Packard Vancouver. At HP I designed complex electromechanical systems including paper handling drives, ink pumps, and printhead servicing systems. I owned about 50 plastic injection molded and sheet metal parts on the HP Pagewide Pro office printer. My work on drive systems kept me in close contact with Firmware engineers, and I developed an interest in coding for embedded systems. Currently, I'm pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Portland State University. I'm excited to apply my Mechanical and Computer Science skills to create devices and solutions that help people live better lives. In my free time, I enjoy cycling - both mountain and road - and raising my cats.
